Privacy

Aria respects your privacy. Here's an overview of what data we collect and how we handle it.

What Aria collects​

  • Profile information — Display name, username, avatar, bio
  • Audio — During live sessions only. Not stored after the session ends unless the session is recorded with consent
  • Chat messages — In-session chat is ephemeral (not retained). DMs are stored for delivery
  • Usage data — App usage patterns to improve the service

What stays on your device​

  • Live captions — Speech recognition runs entirely on-device. Audio for captions is never sent to a server
  • DM toxicity screening — Initial content screening runs on-device before messages are sent

Data export and deletion​

  • Export your data — Request a copy of your data through Profile > Settings
  • Delete your account — Go to Profile > Settings > Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, connections, subscriptions, and all associated data. This cannot be undone.

Data retention​

  • Session audio is not retained after the session ends (unless recorded)
  • Recordings are retained for up to 90 days, then automatically deleted
  • Account data is deleted upon account deletion request
