Connections

Connections are Aria's way of linking people who know each other.

How connections work​

Connections on Aria are mutual only. Both people must accept the connection for it to be established. There are no one-way follows — if you're connected, it goes both ways.

Connecting with someone​

  1. Find a person via Search or in a room
  2. Tap their avatar to view their profile
  3. Tap Connect
  4. They'll receive a connection request notification
  5. Once they accept, you're connected

What connections unlock​

  • Direct Messages — You can DM your connections
  • Invites — Invite connections to Private Rooms
  • Activity — See when connections are live on the Discover feed
  • Discovery — Rooms and sessions with your connections are highlighted

Removing a connection​

Go to the person's profile and tap Disconnect. This removes the connection for both of you.

Blocking​

If you need to block someone:

  1. Go to their profile
  2. Tap Block

Blocked users cannot see your profile, send you messages, or join Private Rooms you create. Blocking also removes any existing connection.
