Having trouble with an AI voice agent? Here are solutions to the most common issues.

Agent not responding

During the beta period, agents are available during scheduled testing windows rather than around the clock. Check your notifications for announcements about upcoming testing windows.

If you're within a testing window and the agent still isn't responding, try removing the agent and inviting it again.

Agent speaking the wrong language

Agents detect the language being spoken and respond in the same language. If the agent is responding in the wrong language:

  1. Speak clearly in your preferred language for a few sentences.
  2. The agent should adapt within a response or two.
  3. If the issue persists, try leaving the session and rejoining. The agent will start fresh and pick up your language from the beginning.

Agent response seems off-topic

Agents work best with clear, direct questions and prompts. If a response feels off-topic:

  1. Try rephrasing your question with more specific context.
  2. Keep questions focused on one topic at a time.
  3. If you're looking for in-depth discussion, let the agent know you want to go deeper on a subject.

Agent won't answer my question

Agents are designed to decline certain types of requests for your safety. If an agent redirects you to a professional, it's because the topic touches on an area like medical, legal, or financial advice where a qualified human professional can serve you better.

This is a safety feature, not a limitation. The agent will let you know why it can't help and suggest the right kind of resource.

I can't find the Invite Agent option

Only the session host can invite or remove agents. If you don't see the option:

  1. Verify that you are the host of the session.
  2. Open session settings and look for Invite Agent.
  3. If you're a participant (not the host), ask the host to invite an agent on your behalf.

Agent audio quality is poor

If the agent's voice sounds choppy or unclear:

  1. Check your internet connection — agents require a stable connection for smooth audio.
  2. Try leaving and rejoining the session.
  3. If the problem continues, it may be related to current server load during the beta period. Try again during a different testing window.
